LH Harlem Nights 2024 Invite 2.png

To continue its needed ambassador work and popular annual community poetry readings, and honor the many asks for another, the Committee is having a Langston's Harlem Nights2 fundraiser on November 23, 2024!

In the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance, it will again be an old-fashioned rent party with a jazzy, dress up, high-style-nightclub feel. There will be live jazz music to groove to, a best dressed competition, heavy hors d’oeuvres, displayed art that takes you back in time, rent party themed drinks and mocktails as well as other surprise performances, including poetry.

The maximum guests will be 200 people. The goal is to raise $50,000 to support our 30-year milestone in 2025 and the necessary work we do year-round. Individual Tickets are $75, and we have multiple sponsor, in-kind donations and support opportunities available. View our sponsorship packet here

Thank you for your partnerships, collaboration and attendance over the years.

We could not hit 30 years without your continued support.

Black tenants in Harlem during the 1920s and 1930s faced discriminatory rental rates. Along with lower salaries, many were short on rent. These parties were meant to bridge the gap. There could be as many as 10-12 rent parties on the same block on any given Saturday.
